Momentum ("we", "us", "our") is a nutrition, fitness and habit tracking application. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. Data We Collect

• Account data: email address, username, password (hashed — we never see your plaintext password).
• Profile data: age, gender, height, weight, activity level, fitness goal.
• Food diary: meals, foods logged, calorie and macro values, water intake, diary notes.
• Exercise data: workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weights, calories burned.
• Habits: habit names, completion records, streaks.
• AI conversations: messages you send to Aria and the responses generated.
• Health data: if you connect Apple Health, we read steps, active calories, and weight. This data is never shared with third parties.
• Device info: device model, OS version, app version — for crash reporting and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the core app functionality: tracking, AI coaching, insights.
• To personalise your experience and calorie targets.
• To send you reminders and notifications you've opted into.
• To improve the app through anonymised analytics.

3. AI Processing

When you use Aria, your messages and relevant context are sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic does not use this data to train their models.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Data stored in Supabase (AWS) with Row Level Security.
• Auth tokens stored securely using iOS Keychain / Android Keystore.
• All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.
• We do not sell or share your personal data for marketing.

5. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, delete, or export your data. Use the in-app export feature or contact privacy@momentumapp.uk.
